The snail with 3 names

Now that we have grass in the front yard it's so nice to be outside in the late afternoons. The sun falls just so we can sit in the shade or sun, but mostly the shade. Our activity was playing with Wesley Weed Snail. Kennedy found him on the way in to church and it was just her luck that Wesley was STILL there on our way out. Of course that was totally a sign from God that he "needed" to come home with us! So he did.

Isn't Wesley just the cutest little guy you ever saw?

I think he needs a little smooch.

Grayson could care less about snails. He was (after this photo) dipping his piece of licorice into the gutter water and slurping it off. He's gross what can we say.

LOVE THIS! Ira would be over in a heartbeat to check your little snail guy out! Did Justin tell you that we had a nice size gopher snake in our yard Saturday?

At least he wasn't trying to eat the snail!

That is so funny. Ian found a snail outside our house and the first thing he did was jump on it. No more snail. :(

Grayson is so funny! It makes me wonder what kind of girl Laura will be. Like me and scream Eeww gross a snail and pour salt on it and watch it bubble or will she be be so interested and want to take it home?

I believe Grayson's behaviors are partially genetic... Sierra used to drink from Sunny D bottles she found lying in the gutter

Well, if it's any consolation, my son Joe ate a worm once when he was less than two. And just recently, he ate grasshoppers he purchased at a science museum, just to see what they tasted like. And Kelly...well, when she was little, she used to lie down on our patio near a puddle of water and slurp up the water. So don't go thinking your kids have the corner on gross! And by the way, Kelly (13) is STILL terrified of slugs and snails. She screams every time she sees them. Thanks for sharing your little stories!

gutter water and licorice? yum! my fave flavor! was it a red vine because those are the only ones that really go well with gutter water.
